Rugby World Cup
RWC fever is here....
We have all been learning about the RWC participating countries. We have each adopted a country that we are writing a report on. And we are of course supporting that country until it meets NZ...

Ski Trip
Week 6 brought SKI TRIP!!!
Not sure who was more excited - us or our teacher..
It was a beautiful day and their was heaps of snow to play in, fall over in and learn to ski or snowboard in.
Most of us started on the magic carpet to learn how to balance, stop and turn. Then we could join the better skiers and snowboarders at the intermediate slope. A few brave people (or those who skiied regularly) jumped on T1 and headed up the mountain for a bit more practice.
A great day was had so THANKS to all our parent helps who came with us and helped us!

Term 3 Update
Hi everyone
We have had a very hectic term in Syndicate 4 and especially in Room 13...
Term 3 kicked off with the continuation of our Now and Then topic.We have worked very hard to research our inquiry questions, collate the information and turn it into a fantastic report and display poster. Most of us even made a powerpoint as part of our presentation.
As part of our research into 'Life on The West Coast - Now and Then' we visited Shantytown to learn more about where we live. Most of us LOVED dressing up and finding out how Goldminers lived during the gold rush.

During Week 4 we were lucky enough to have a visit from two Turbo Touch coaches from Christchurch. They were at our school for the whole week and taught everyone from the Year 1's to the Year 8's. And our teachers...
